Privacy policy
Private by default chess analysis.
ches-s.com is a free chess AI analysis tool. It does not require accounts, does not use tracking cookies, and does not sell personal data.
Effective date: May 27, 2026
What Data Is Processed
When you submit a Chess.com game URL, ches-s.com fetches the public game record for that URL and analyzes the resulting positions. This can include moves, player names, ratings, time control, opening data, and other public game details returned by Chess.com.
Do not submit private notes, passwords, emails, tokens, or other sensitive information in a URL. ches-s.com only needs the public game identifier.
AI Coach Notes
To generate coach explanations, the app may send chess position context such as FEN, played move, engine line, evaluation, and move classification to the configured AI provider. You do not need to provide a Chess.com password, email address, or ches-s.com account.
AI coach requests are limited to chess analysis context. They are used to produce the explanation shown in the review panel and may be cached so the same move does not need to be regenerated repeatedly.
Caching, Storage, And Logs
The app caches public game records and generated move explanations in your browser's local storage. The server also keeps short-lived cache entries for game records and coach responses to improve performance and reduce duplicate requests.
Default cache durations are up to 24 hours for game records and up to 30 days for move explanations. Hosting infrastructure may keep ordinary request logs, which can include IP address, request path, browser user agent, and timestamp.
Tracking, Ads, And Sale Of Data
ches-s.com does not use tracking cookies, does not run ad tracking, and does not sell personal data. The tool is intended to always stay free.
Third Parties
ches-s.com fetches public game data from Chess.com and may use an AI provider for coach explanations. Fonts and static assets may be loaded by the browser as part of rendering the site.
Your Controls
You can clear cached game records and move explanations by clearing site data for ches-s.com in your browser. You can also avoid AI coach requests by not pressing Explain and by using only the engine analysis shown in the review.
Security And Children
ches-s.com is designed for public chess games and should not be used to transmit sensitive information. The service is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect account information from anyone.
Changes And Questions
If privacy details change, this page should be updated before the site behavior changes. The short version: paste public games, get free chess analysis, and avoid sharing anything private in game URLs or metadata.
